Puppy Kindergarten  (for pups 8-20 weeks)

Get your puppy off to a good start with Puppy Kindergarten.  Your pup will learn basic obedience, such as sit, down, stay, recalls, leave-it and loose leash walking.  More importantly, your new best friend will be able to socialize with other puppies the same age.  We will discuss housebreaking, chewing, nipping and all the ups and downs of puppy parenthood.

Basic Manners for Young Adolescents (for dogs 6 –15 months)

Do you find yourself saying "He used to be so cute."  This class is for the adolescent pooch.  At this stage dogs are loaded with hormonally-charged energy and training can be particularly challenging.  Your dog may have basic skills such as “sit” and “down” but they need to work on basic manners.  In class you will teach your dog to "settle", discourage jumping, polite greetings, walking on a loose leash,  come called and a trick or two.

Canine Good Citizen Preparation & Test

The Canine Good Citizen Program (CGC) encourages responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.  Some insurance companies require that your dog pass the CGC in order to be approved for home owners insurance.  To read more about the CGC Test, go to:  http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/
