First-time canine passengers will need to complete a trial run in order to receive ongoing transportation service. Dog owners are required to be at home with their dogs during this process to ensure that their pets will go with the van driver and safely enter the van for transport.
Pick-up and drop off service to and from the Hingham Shipyard is available during the following times:
Reservations and Questions:
Please call Jackie C., our transportation manager at Grove Street at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a time at (781) 871-2369. Our time slots fill up fast, so it's best to reserve your time with as much advanced notice as possible. Note that evaluations for daycare and boarding services must be completed before transportation can provided.
Accessing Your Dog at Home:
All home pick-up clients need to provide 2 house keys. Keypad locks sometimes malfunction or power outages restrict access to the house. If we cannot access entry, you will still be charged and we may not be able to complete the transportation service. In these cases, we will contact you immediately.
During winter weather, we may have to restrict home pick-ups and drop-offs due to snow and inaccessibility up driveways and down streets. When this occurs, you will be notified as soon as possible.
If either Hingham or Norwell schools are closed or delayed due to inclement weather, we will not offer transportation service.
The safety of your pet is our #1 priority. Our van is equipped with transport crates to ensure a comfortable and secure ride for your dog.
